Windows of the Soul

Windows of the Soul invites viewers into an intimate confrontation with selfhood. At the center of each image stands a figure holding a window—both a literal object and a metaphorical threshold. Through these windows, glimpses of inner worlds are revealed: fire, graveyards, emptiness, and in one, the handwritten question, “What will become of my stories: gardens or graveyards?” The series explores the dissonance between external presentation and internal reality, raising questions about what we choose to share, what we choose to hide, and what remains even beyond our choices.

This work is not about having answers. It’s about asking the questions that linger beneath the surface: What lives inside of me? What will become of the things I’ve lived through? The windows reveal fragments of possibility—destruction, silence, peace, or bloom—inviting the viewer to consider the complexity of their own inner landscapes and what remains unseen beneath the surface.
